Newman Management is an Executive Coaching, Leadership Development & Career Advisory firm. Terry Newman, Certified Executive Coach, coaches individuals, teams and organizations using a solutions-focused approach. She leverages her extensive business experience in her work with clients as a trusted, objective partner. Terry helps clients address their opportunities and challenges, explore options, and develop solutions for achieving specific, measurable goals at the individual and organizational level. 

Coaching Experience:  Terry has coached clients on leadership and team development, career search and transitions, change management, executive presence, individual effectiveness, and work-life balance. She has also led interactive workshops on effective communication strategies, stress management and work-life balance. In addition, Terry has worked as a group facilitator for Leadership Summits sponsored by ADP and HSBC for their high potential and senior executives. She has been a coach and facilitator for Columbia Business School and Executive MBA students.

Background:  Prior to founding Newman Management, Terry spent over 28 years in senior business development and relationship management roles in the financial services industry. Her leadership experience includes managing and training sales, marketing, and consultant/client service teams at Armstrong Shaw Associates as Principal, Director of Marketing & Client Service; and at Credit Suisse Asset Management as Managing Director, Business Development.

Business Clients:  During her business career she worked with senior executives from Brown Brothers Harriman, Cornell University, Citigroup, CalPERS,  Coca Cola, Daimler Chrysler Canada, Gannett, Highmark, HSBC, Manitoba Public Insurance, Richard King Mellon Foundation, Russell Investments, San Francisco Employees Retirement System, University of Ottawa, The Vanguard Group, and Virginia Retirement System.

Achievements:  Terry has successfully guided teams through significant corporate change and received an Award of Excellence from Credit Suisse for her team building efforts after its acquisition of Warburg Pincus Asset Management.

Credentials:  She earned her certification in Executive and Organizational Coaching  from Columbia University’s Business School and Teachers College. Terry is certified to administer and interpret the Hogan Suite of Assessments, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), the Neethling Brain Instrument (NBI) and the Clark-Wilson 360 assessments.

Personal:  As a working parent, commuter, and member of the sandwich generation, Terry also has valuable experience with the challenges facing many professionals as they seek work-life balance. She brings these insights to coaching and targeted workshops.
