Terry Newman, CEO & Founder has extensive experience advising and coaching leaders and teams to achieve higher impact in their roles. Through solutions focused coaching, assessments, team building and facilitation, Terry helps leaders and teams achieve greater effectiveness.
Terry leverages her business and leadership experience in her work. She partners with clients and organizations to serve as a catalyst for positive change. She has coached professionals from over 25 countries on 360 feedback, individual effectiveness, leadership and team development, career management, change management and effective communication. In addition, she coached Columbia Business School and Executive MBA students as part of Leadership Lab and Social Intelligence classes and worked as a coach and facilitator for several women’s leadership and D& I programs. Terry has designed and led dozens of customized interactive programs and retreats to facilitate team effectiveness and leadership development including programs supporting career advancement for high potential women and under represented men.

Background: Prior to founding Newman Management, Terry spent over 25 years in the investment management industry. She has extensive experience managing sales, client service and marketing teams including as a Managing Director at Credit Suisse and Iridian Asset Management and as Principal, Director of Marketing & Client Service at Armstrong Shaw Associates. She was a Vice President at Bankers Trust and an account executive at Instinet Corporation. During her career in investment management, she successfully built teams, raised assets, improved organizational operations, and client service.
Achievements: Terry has successfully guided teams through significant corporate change and received an Award of Excellence from Credit Suisse for her team building efforts after its acquisition of Warburg Pincus Asset Management.
Credentials: She earned her certification in Executive and Organizational Coaching from Columbia University’s Business School and Teachers College. Terry is certified to administer and interpret the Hogan Suite of Assessments, MBTI, the Nethling Brain Instrument (NBI), Hay ESCI 360, and the Clark-Wilson 360 assessments.
Personal: As a working parent, commuter, and member of the sandwich generation, Terry also has valuable experience with the challenges facing many professionals as they seek work-life balance. She brings these insights to coaching and targeted workshops.
